Cape Fear Community College Foundation, which supports more than 20,000 students in Wilmington, N.C., struggled with disparate systems and inconsistent account setups across departments that made donor, scholarship, and financial data hard to reconcile and manage. Manual processes and fragmented workflows slowed reporting, scholarship promotion, and audits.

By adopting Blackbaud’s integrated cloud solutions—Raiser’s Edge NXT, Financial Edge NXT, and Award Management—the Foundation created shared constituent IDs, eliminated many manual steps, and improved data consistency and reconciliation. The new system streamlined scholarship promotion and outreach (including texting), supported faster audits and financial reporting, and helped the Foundation award $842,663 in scholarships in the referenced cycle.
