A Blackbaud Case Study
Campbell Hall is a K–12 independent day school in Studio City serving about 1,100 students that needed to modernize and scale its volunteer-driven annual fund program. Before adopting a new system, the school relied on manual processes—paper, spreadsheets and time-consuming tasks—which limited marketing, storytelling, volunteer accountability and the ability to measure return on investment, especially as fundraising demands grew during the pandemic.
By implementing Blackbaud Volunteer Network Fundraising, Campbell Hall streamlined workflows, gave volunteers mobile tools and centralized data so ambassadors could focus on outreach and impact messaging. The result: improved engagement and accountability, a more diverse and active volunteer base, and record fundraising—$3.3M in 2019–20 and $4.1M in 2020–21—while supporting about $8M in annual financial aid and enabling better measurement of volunteer effectiveness.
