Brighton College is a leading independent school for pupils aged 3–18 whose Development Office (established 2010) runs capital campaigns and alumni fundraising to support facilities and scholarships. The college struggled with a legacy fundraising system that forced use of multiple third‑party tools for email, online payments and events, created duplicate admin and spreadsheets, and offered little strategic oversight.
Brighton implemented Raiser’s Edge NXT with Blackbaud Online Express to consolidate fundraising, online giving and communications. The switch delivered faster reporting, mobile major‑donor planning, Outlook email logging, alumni mapping and simple data imports, helping the team work more efficiently and attract the right staff — and supported a recent WWI memorial appeal that raised over £140,000.
