Blackbaud Products Provide RAIN with Comfort, Efficiency, and Success

Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN) is the sole HIV nonprofit in Charlotte, providing care management, support groups, faith-based training, prevention education, chaplain services and volunteer support while amplifying the voices of people living with HIV. Faced with seven events and several thousand online donors, RAIN was spending excessive staff time manually entering fundraising data into The Raiser's Edge—one event’s data took about five months of full-time work to process.

RAIN implemented Blackbaud NetCommunity Grow (for seamless integration with The Raiser's Edge, CMS and email), Blackbaud Merchant Services, Friends Asking Friends for online/event fundraising, and Blackbaud Application Hosting. The changes nearly eliminated manual data entry—data now transfers with a few clicks—freed up the server, enabled remote access, improved site control and design, and reduced payment processing costs. As a result RAIN expanded its sponsorship program with a new giving level and has seen online donations increase each year.
