A Blackbaud Case Study
Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, which houses more than 1,400 mid‑20th century works, faced operational constraints from legacy systems that risked double and triple event bookings, limited staff to single‑user access, and made it difficult to capture visitor and donor data or online sales. The museum also needed to protect data integrity during a donor-record migration.
Bechtler implemented Blackbaud Altru, migrating donor and giving histories from Raiser’s Edge in a one‑time, 100% accurate transfer. As a cloud solution, Altru centralized information and allowed simultaneous staff access, streamlined events (sales, attendance, rentals, merchandise), improved front‑line data capture and communications, and eliminated booking errors—helping increase memberships by 40% year‑over‑year and boost online sales and customer service.
