AtlantiCare Foundation, which supports three hospitals and more than 100 clinics in southern New Jersey, launched Heroes of Hair—a No‑Shave November peer‑to‑peer campaign—to raise funds for wigs, transportation, and financial assistance for cancer patients. The team had never run a peer‑to‑peer fundraiser before and needed a platform that would let participants create personalized pages, share updates and photos, and keep supporters engaged throughout the month.
AtlantiCare implemented Blackbaud’s peer‑to‑peer solution with integration into Raiser’s Edge NXT, enabling easy setup and strong customer support. The campaign raised $13,000 in year one and nearly $25,000 by year three (more than $50,000 total), helped 94 patients in the first two years, and brought in about 396 new donors—doubling fundraising and strengthening the donor pipeline.
