A Blackbaud Case Study
Atlanta Community Food Bank, founded in 1979 and “nourishing stronger communities,” distributes over 30 million pounds of food each year through more than 700 partner agencies across 38 counties. The organization’s legacy financial system could only report at a department level, lacked project-level tracking and functional expense reporting, and made grant reporting slow and cumbersome.
ACFB implemented Blackbaud Financial Edge, integrated with Raiser’s Edge, to enable project-level coding, in-depth nonprofit reporting, and automated reconciliation between fundraising and accounting. The change streamlined grant and 990 reporting, reduced manual data entry, sped up audits and reconciliations, and saved significant time during busy reporting periods.
