Active Minds is a nonprofit that empowers students to speak openly about mental health on college campuses. Facing stagnant email lists and almost no online donations, the organization needed a way to convert offline supporters to online donors and grow its house file to expand fundraising.
By implementing Blackbaud’s TeamRaiser and Luminate Online Marketing, Active Minds launched its first fundraising walk and enabled chapters to create personalized fundraising pages. Over three years online giving rose from $200 to $192,116 (a 959% increase), house file size grew 17%, fundraising grew 361% year‑over‑year, and the organization engaged supporters on 400+ campuses to raise $1,089,729 online and offline.
