Action for Children is a UK children’s charity founded in 1869 that supports hundreds of thousands of young people each year (368,648 children through 503 services) and processes £16–19m in fundraising with a 120‑person fundraising team. When its IT department required all systems to be cloud‑based and their Blackbaud contract was due to expire, the organisation needed a modern, cloud CRM with stronger reporting and easier access for distributed staff.

They chose Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge NXT and completed the migration in six months with dedicated support. The cloud CRM delivered faster, more visual reporting, unified constituent records, mobile access for remote teams, and new pipelines/workflows that save time and improve supporter engagement; Action for Children is now rolling out integrations (email, payment platform, JustGiving via Azure Logic Apps) to further streamline operations and data‑driven fundraising.
