Østfold Police District needed to replace an aging analog command-and-control room (VGA/PS2 and point-to-point KVMs) when moving into a new station and wanted a modern digital platform with DVI/USB support, HD video, fast switching, redundancy and multi-user access. They engaged Black Box Network Services to design and deliver the upgraded solution.

Black Box Network Services implemented its DKM FX matrix switching system, pre-configured with two video walls (4×2 and 2×2), a third-party Media Control System for touchscreen control, and a scalable mix of copper and fiber cabling to serve five desks across 24/7 shifts. The DKM FX deployment delivered fast switching, redundancy and hot‑swappability, was shipped pre-configured for onsite user installation, and provided improved uptime, practical functionality and enhanced situational awareness so the Østfold Police District can better serve its community.
