Sabesp equips 30 user stations with Black Box KVM over IP for its new control room

Sabesp, a Brazilian water and waste management company, needed to build a new command and control room with non-fixed user stations so operators could work from anywhere. Their challenge was to find a KVM matrix system that provided reliable graphics, seamless USB performance for webcams and headsets, and LDAP integration for user management. Black Box Network Services was engaged to provide a solution after the initial integrator struggled to meet all requirements.

Black Box implemented its Emerald KVM over IP matrix system with Boxilla Managers. The solution connected 30 user stations to 30 remote servers over an IP network, providing a local-like experience with full USB 2.0 support. The result was a modern, agile work environment where users gained full mobility and flexibility. Sabesp benefited from a secure, organized data center with reduced noise and heat, and the system's performance exceeded expectations with no network impact.
