Medical Center needed to distribute high‑definition MRI images electronically across a large campus to radiologists, surgeons, operating and meeting rooms, requiring pixel‑perfect reproduction, keyboard/mouse extension, and reliable transmission over distances of more than one kilometer in an EMI/RFI‑noisy environment. Black Box Network Services delivered the solution, deploying the DKM FX Compact Matrix Switch (32 fiber SFP) together with DKM FX Modular Extenders over single‑mode and multimode fiber optics.

Black Box Network Services routed four image servers to 22 stations — including four operating rooms with quad‑head HDMI displays, two meeting rooms with dual‑head 40" screens, and ward/archive consoles — delivering real‑time DisplayPort/HDMI up to Full HD 1080p and USB/keyboard/mouse/USB2.0 peripheral extension. The fiber‑based DKM FX system removed EMI/RFI risk, supported long‑distance links (>1 km), provided 24/7 reliability with dual power supplies, and left headroom for expansion, enabling accurate diagnostics and streamlined surgical preparation across the campus.
