Mandalay Baseball Properties - Customer Case Study

Mandalay Baseball Properties, owner of the Dayton Dragons, needed major-league video, audio, and control-room capabilities on a minor-league budget to support two simultaneous productions with separate crews and shared core systems. To meet tight space, uptime, and quality requirements, Mandalay sought a digital KVM matrix solution from Black Box Network Services, leveraging the DKM product line (including the DKM FX Compact HD 48‑port matrix, ACXC48).

Black Box Network Services designed and, with Alpha Video installing, delivered a DKM-based system that currently supports 17 users and 24 computer stations with capacity for up to 48 users/computers and 48-port routing. The solution enables simultaneous access to the same servers, advanced access-right management, instant preset switching (hotkeys/third‑party control), and up to 800 ft CAT5e extension to securely rack and cool servers—resulting in enterprise-grade reliability, quieter operation, and “major league” production capability on a minor-league budget.
