critical infrastructure organization modernizes 2 control centers with Black Box Network Services

A critical infrastructure organization faced the challenge of modernizing its mission-critical control centers to manage both classified and non-classified systems. They needed to provide operators seamless access while maintaining strict security boundaries and replacing outdated, unreliable legacy video wall infrastructure. To address this, they partnered with Black Box Network Services to implement a solution based on a unified IP KVM ecosystem.

Black Box designed a secure architecture utilizing their Emerald Control Ecosystem and NIAP PP 4.0-certified Secure KVM devices. This solution provided air-gapped network isolation, unidirectional data flow for security, and high-resolution LED video walls for improved visibility. The results included secure simultaneous access to all systems, significantly simplified operator workflows, and a fully redundant architecture supporting mission-critical continuity across multiple distributed control centers.
