Brighton Secondary College Deploys Digital Signage Across their Campus

Brighton Secondary College, a coeducational school serving 1,200+ students, needed a reliable, easy-to-use campus-wide display system to replace an end-of-life signage solution and better engage students, staff and visitors. IT Manager Cameron Scholten engaged Black Box Network Services to deliver an end-to-end digital signage solution, using the iCOMPEL digital signage platform and Black Box’s MediaCento AV-over-IP components.

Black Box Network Services implemented a customised, scalable iCOMPEL deployment with one publisher and eight screens in high-traffic areas, transmitting audio/video over existing Cat 5e cabling via MediaCento to avoid costly infrastructure changes. The quick installation delivered multi-zone layouts, multi-user content editing, free software updates and no ongoing subscription/licensing fees—resulting in more professional, dynamic communications, simplified content management and lower total cost of ownership for Brighton Secondary College.
