Automobile Museum extends 20 DisplayPort signals over fiber with Black Box

The Automobile Museum needed to extend 20 DisplayPort video signals over long distances to its interactive touch wall, but was constrained by the 10-meter cable limit. They required a compact, failure-proof system with redundant power that could utilize their existing fiber cabling. The museum worked with their integrator and vendor Black Box to find a solution using a DKM extender system.

Black Box implemented a compact DKM chassis with transmitter cards and individual receivers, which extended the 4K video and USB signals over fiber. The solution provided the required power redundancy, saved significant rack space, and future-proofed the museum with easily replaceable cards. This upgrade will allow the museum to deliver a state-of-the-art interactive experience to its visitors.
