Tata Steel Europe, formed from a series of mergers and acquisitions, faced the challenge of operating as separate factory entities rather than one unified organization. This lack of cohesion resulted in a fragmented supply chain and no complete overview of their business processes, applications, and infrastructure. To improve collaboration and establish a central source of information, they turned to Bizzdesign and its Enterprise Studio platform.

Bizzdesign’s solution provided a collaborative modeling platform based on open standards like TOGAF and ArchiMate. This allowed Tata Steel Europe's architects to model the current and target states of their organization. The results included a significantly more efficient European supply chain, the deployment of standard IT solutions across all factories, and the ability to clearly translate high-level strategy into a defined target architecture for future planning.
