Case Study: EUROCONTROL improves complex system architecture management with Bizzdesign Hopex

EUROCONTROL trains 100 contributors and speeds issue resolution with Bizzdesign

EUROCONTROL, a key organization in European air traffic management, faced the challenge of developing the complex, pan-European ATM system for the SESAR project. They needed to determine and map system requirements, ensure consistency across numerous subsystems, and guarantee all components would work together without interference, all while using a central repository of models. To address this, they turned to Bizzdesign and its Hopex platform for model-based system engineering.

Bizzdesign implemented its collaborative Hopex software solution, which provided a central architecture repository based on the NATO Architecture Framework. This solution delivered a flexible and collaborative working environment, allowing EUROCONTROL to quickly resolve problems and substantially reduce time spent on system maintenance and repair. The implementation of an intranet site providing a simplified view of the repository enabled better communication and allowed non-architects to become involved in modeling, supporting the plan to train 100 contributors.
