Bordeaux Métropole unifies 15 IS cultures with Bizzdesign

Bordeaux Métropole, a French public institution comprising 28 municipalities, faced the challenge of integrating 15 different information systems and cultures following a national law mandating the pooling of services. Their goals were to gain control of their complex application landscape, create a shared IS knowledge base for 300 agents, and build a common culture to pilot a business transformation. To address this, they partnered with vendor Bizzdesign and implemented the Bizzdesign Hopex IT Portfolio Management solution.

Bizzdesign provided consultants who helped configure the Hopex platform to meet Bordeaux Métropole's specific needs, facilitating adoption through training and the establishment of a "Users Club" for continuous feedback. The solution enabled the successful creation of a single, decentralized repository for IT assets, leading to better knowledge of applications and technologies. Results included the immediate sharing of knowledge via an internal portal, proactive management of application obsolescence, and the establishment of a common culture that drives the metropolis's ongoing transformation.
