Integrated Manufacturing & Assembly (IMA), a Lear–Comer joint venture in automotive manufacturing, faced stubborn employee-retention and engagement issues compounded by inconsistent compliance training across multiple facilities and tight budgets. Leadership identified culture change, better accountability for required training, and sustainable leadership development as the priorities to improve morale and reduce turnover.

IMA partnered with BizLibrary to deploy an on-demand learning platform with plant-specific assignments, certification tracks (including a Team Leader Certification), and administrator reporting to drive accountability. Monthly lesson completions rose from about 32 in 2014 to over 600 by 2016; turnover fell more than 15% year-over-year, saving roughly $130,000 in recruitment costs, grievances dropped 12% (148 to 132), and harassment incidents decreased — alongside a noticeable shift toward higher engagement and easier recruiting.
