City of Cleveland Modernizes Their Workforce with Online L&D Programs

City of Cleveland needed a flexible way to upskill and reskill employees after a new mayor took office and launched a modernization effort across a workforce with more than 1,200 job titles and varied schedules. To support citywide learning, the city partnered with BizLibrary for an online training solution with an easy-to-use LMS, a broad content library, and mobile access for employees in the field.

BizLibrary implemented the platform in phases, starting with the mayor’s office, and used playbooks and support from a Client Experience Manager to ensure a smooth rollout across multiple employee groups and email domains. The city launched customer service-focused learning and an incentive program, then tracked logins and course launches; post-launch metrics showed employees were using BizLibrary as a one-stop shop for learning and development needs.
