Hook & Ladder Living Café is a multi-concept hospitality company founded in Waterford in 2013 that grew to nearly 100 employees across six locations. Before 2016 its rostering relied on basic Excel spreadsheets and pen-and-paper timesheets, which gave no forecasting or cross-site visibility, created “ghost hours” and required the accounts clerk a full day each week to reconcile payroll.
In September 2016 Hook & Ladder implemented Bizimply’s multi-location staff management system. Drag-and-drop rostering now takes minutes, attendance is accurate across all sites, and payroll uploads directly to Sage—cutting processing time in half and enabling earlier staff payments. Managers also use a mobile app to monitor attendance and absences in real time, supporting smoother operations and ongoing expansion.
