A Bivarus Case Study
Hamilton Health Care System, a not-for-profit, fully integrated health system in northwest Georgia, wanted to strengthen employee engagement as a way to improve patient care and patient satisfaction. The organization had partnered with Bivarus since 2001 to gather employee feedback across departments and better understand how staff experience affected care outcomes.
Bivarus provided employee engagement surveying and consulting, including department-level data analysis, focus groups, and action planning after each survey. The 2017 survey showed 74.0% associate participation (1,654 of 2,234) and 93.9% leadership participation (46 of 49), with 97.1% of associates proud to work at Hamilton and 95.6% saying HHCS is a quality organization. Bivarus also identified associate engagement factors correlated with HCAHPS® overall rating, helping Hamilton focus on recognition, communication, and leadership improvements that supported higher patient experience scores.
