Case Study: Affirm achieves faster builds and higher app reliability with Bitrise

Affirm, a publicly traded fintech company known for its buy-now-pay-later services and SuperApp, needed a faster, more reliable way to manage mobile builds. Its self-hosted Jenkins setup on Mac Minis was taking over an hour per build and only running one build at a time, slowing development and making it harder to keep the app stable and high-quality.

Bitrise replaced Affirm’s old CI/CD process with a cloud-based mobile build platform that was set up in just hours, using Bitrise’s out-of-the-box steps alongside custom open-source scripts and Gen2 infrastructure. As a result, build times dropped from over 60 minutes to 12–18 minutes, parallel builds saved several hours a day, and build success rates rose above 90%; Bitrise also helped support higher app store ratings of 4.9 on iOS and 4.5 on Android.
