Case Study: Sixt achieves fully automated mobile releases, 1,000 weekly builds, and higher app ratings with Bitrise

A Bitrise Case Study

Preview of the Sixt Case Study

Building an all-around solution for mobility services

Sixt, the world’s largest integrated mobility service provider operating in 105 countries, needed to scale mobile development across multiple public and internal apps while ensuring quality as teams and concurrency grew. After trying Jenkins and CircleCI, Sixt chose Bitrise’s cloud-based mobile CI/CD platform for its mobile-specific features, ease of setup, Fastlane integration and caching, and strong support to address frequent testing and release challenges.

Bitrise enabled rapid onboarding (iOS and Android builds running within a day), automated unit tests on every pull request, PR and develop-branch triggers that run extensive test suites and produce alpha builds for QA, and heavy use of caching and Fastlane steps to speed builds. As a result, Sixt now runs around 1,000 builds per week across seven apps, has fully automated integration and release pipelines with no manual integration steps, and has seen higher app ratings (4.8 iOS, 4.6 Android), increased downloads and monthly active users—delivering faster, more reliable releases and fewer mistakes thanks to Bitrise.
