Aalto University brings campus online with Bitfiner’s immersive 44-panorama virtual tour

Aalto University, a leading institution ranked #3 in Europe for arts and design, needed to create a digital campus tour that could authentically convey its unique atmosphere and architecture to a global audience. The challenge was to move beyond a standard virtual tour and build an immersive experience that would feel credible and emotional for prospective students and faculty who could not travel. They partnered with Bitfiner for UX/UI design to achieve this ambitious goal.

Bitfiner designed the UX/UI for a multi-platform virtual campus experience that integrated 360° panoramas, video, audio, and interactive hotspots. The solution worked seamlessly across desktop, mobile, and VR headsets, successfully translating the university's identity into a deeply engaging digital format. The project received multiple international design awards, including a European Design Award Silver, and provided Aalto University with a scalable platform for future expansion.
