Unilever rolls out new training to 1400 employees within 48 hours

Unilever, a global consumer goods company with multiple factories and a logistics center in Israel, needed a better way to train nearly 2,000 frontline employees during Covid-19. Its traditional onsite compliance and safety sessions were difficult to run for mobile workers and became impractical once social distancing made in-person gatherings impossible. Unilever turned to Bites, a remote training platform for frontline teams.

Using Bites, Unilever converted existing training PDFs into short, engaging video-based lessons delivered through familiar messaging channels like SMS, WhatsApp, Slack, and MS Teams. The first rollout trained 150 logistics drivers, and the company soon expanded usage across the business for safety, compliance, and other updates. With Bites, 1,400 employees completed compliance training within 24 hours, reaching about 80% of the target group, and follow-up reminders lifted completion to 96% within days.
