Xelvin stops malware in its tracks

Xelvin, a Groningen-based staffing specialist that handles sensitive personal and employer data for 128 employees, was struggling with malware, disruptive spam and time-consuming administration under its previous AV solution. Facing more than 40,000 spam emails weekly (with 100–200 getting through), slow remediation and separate consoles for endpoints, file servers and Exchange, Xelvin evaluated alternatives and selected Bitdefender’s GravityZone Enterprise Security Suite to better protect its environment.

Bitdefender deployed GravityZone on-premises across Xelvin’s Hyper-V and Nutanix virtualized environment to protect 47 servers, desktops and VMs and 325 Microsoft Exchange mailboxes across two data centers; the rollout took two days. Bitdefender’s solution eliminated malware infections, cut spam reaching endpoints from about 200 to under 50 per week, reduced time spent on trouble calls by nearly 90% (from two hours to ~15 minutes every two weeks), and simplified administration with a single management console—while providing more cost-effective Exchange licensing.
