A Bitdefender Case Study
Rudersdal Kommune, a Danish municipality serving about 55,000 residents, needed to secure a highly distributed IT environment that supports 120 institutions across 180 locations, nearly 15,000 endpoints (including some 11,000 school users and 2,000 iMacs), VMware servers and Citrix workstations. Facing license renewal and the need for better intrusion detection and manageability, the municipality ran a proof-of-concept with Bitdefender’s GravityZone.
After the successful trial, Rudersdal rolled out Bitdefender GravityZone across physical endpoints—starting with schools and then administrative stations—gaining easier centralized management, improved intrusion detection and affordable licensing. Bitdefender’s GravityZone now protects roughly 15,000 endpoints across the municipality, reduced administration overhead, increased IT productivity and provided the municipality’s IT team with greater peace of mind and responsive vendor support.
