Olympus Fabrica de Lapte Brasov ‘breaks’ security bottlenecks

Olympus (Fabrica de Lapte Brasov), a growing dairy manufacturer with over 200 employees, faced a rapidly expanding and Windows-heavy IT environment after doubling its servers and migrating 90% of systems to Microsoft Windows Professional. The company’s existing antivirus solution was causing network slowdowns, high local resource consumption, poor remote command responsiveness and did not offer a cloud option, so Olympus turned to Bitdefender (with partner Spearhead Systems) to find a cloud-based endpoint protection solution.

Bitdefender delivered a proof-of-concept and then deployed Bitdefender Security for Endpoints (Cloud), completing full rollout in about a week; the solution immediately reduced local resource use and eliminated performance bottlenecks. Using Bitdefender’s cloud console, Olympus centralized monitoring, policy control and management, lowered acquisition and licensing costs, and freed IT staff time and resources to focus on other priorities.
