Momentive Technologies rolls out layered security infrastructure

Momentive Technologies, an advanced materials manufacturer, had to build an enterprise-wide IT infrastructure from the ground up after its spin-off and identified cyberattacks as a primary risk. After using an interim endpoint product, Momentive chose Bitdefender, selecting GravityZone Business Security Enterprise and GravityZone Patch Management to protect its Windows, VMware and Azure environments across 700 endpoints.

Bitdefender deployed GravityZone to provide integrated EDR, threat prevention and automated patching; the solution flagged and removed nearly 100 malware files, blocked intrusion attempts, achieved a 99% installation success rate, and raised patch compliance from 70% to 97%. Bitdefender’s GravityZone also improved endpoint performance and dramatically cut patching effort (from roughly six hours monthly to under one), helping prevent breaches and strengthen Momentive’s overall security posture.
