IRIS Solutions, a Charlotte-based managed service provider, faced recurring malware and ransomware problems and an inefficient per-client licensing model with their previous vendor VIPRE. After evaluating alternatives, IRIS Solutions selected Bitdefender and deployed Bitdefender Cloud Security for MSPs to provide stronger protection and a licensing model designed for MSPs.

Deployed across about 2,000 endpoints for 115 customers (and IRIS’s own data center), Bitdefender stopped breaches during a ransomware outbreak (only unprotected older machines were affected), reduced malware infections by roughly 95%, eliminated ransomware exploits, and cut malware-related calls by 70%. IRIS Solutions reports security-management time fell from around 20–25 hours to under one hour per month, and the simpler Bitdefender licensing model saves about 30 hours monthly and approximately $35,000 per year.
