ESSEC scores high for cybersecurity

ESSEC Business School, a leading higher education and executive education institution in France, faced a ransomware incident that exposed gaps in its security posture and strained its small IT team—its prior solution was hard to manage, hurt system performance, and required workstation shutdowns. After proof-of-concept testing, ESSEC selected Bitdefender’s GravityZone Business Security Enterprise to improve protection and operational efficiency.

Bitdefender deployed GravityZone across about 1,500 endpoints to provide EDR, threat detection and prevention, risk analytics and cloud sandboxing. The implementation delivered stronger, real-time endpoint visibility, easier isolation and investigation of threats, and no malware bypasses since installation; ESSEC also cut day-to-day security administration time by 70% and now sees policy and update changes applied within a minute versus 10–15 minutes previously.
