GEHA, a not-for-profit insurer serving federal employees, needed stronger protection for sensitive PHI after ransomware and other advanced threats began bypassing its previous tools. After testing multiple vendors and hundreds of malware samples, GEHA selected Bitdefender’s GravityZone (upgrading to GravityZone Elite) for its superior detection and layered next‑gen features.

Bitdefender deployed GravityZone Elite across GEHA’s ~1,900 servers, workstations and virtual desktops (including Azure) with assistance from Bitdefender Professional Services, delivering centralized visibility and policy management. The implementation achieved a 100% malware blocking rate in tests, cut security administration from 1 FTE to 0.25 FTE, consolidated 41 virtual appliances to four central scanning servers, and ensured device‑control compliance.
