bela-pharm, a family-run veterinary pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Vechta, needed a more reliable, low-impact security solution after its legacy product only scanned endpoints and file servers, sometimes degraded system performance (forcing scans off during business hours), lacked an Exchange module and could not reliably protect mobile devices. The company selected Bitdefender’s GravityZone to provide maximum protection without performance penalties and with easy central management.

Following a proof-of-concept with a GravityZone Control Appliance (implemented with Uzuner Systems GmbH), bela-pharm deployed Bitdefender GravityZone across its corporate network—around 200 endpoints including mobile devices, virtual servers and desktops. GravityZone detected threats the previous solution missed, now protects against ransomware, viruses, Trojans and bots, supports strict regulatory compliance, and simplified administration via the GravityZone On‑Premises management console—saving time and improving productivity.
