The Swedish Federation of Business Owners and its member companies face growing losses from credit fraud and business bankruptcies, with billions reportedly lent to phony companies that fail to pay. To help address this challenge, Bisnode developed fraud-focused risk solutions, including its Bisnode Fraud Solutions and RiskGuardian Suite, to identify companies with abnormally high bankruptcy risk.

Bisnode’s AI-driven system, combined with Ativo Finans’ own text analysis and invoice assessment models, helped the lender spot risky customers that would not have been flagged by ordinary credit checks. The result was a major reduction in credit-fraud exposure, including one case where Bisnode helped identify a risk that could have cost between SEK 200,000 and SEK 1 million, and potentially millions annually overall.
