Ehte Humanitarian Gymnasium - Customer Case Study

The customer, Ehte Humanitarian Gymnasium, faced a challenge due to new EU regulations mandating higher lighting standards and a building management system (BMS) for schools. Their existing fluorescent lighting was non-compliant and inefficient, and the lack of a BMS led to overheated classrooms and high, unmanageable energy costs. The Tallinn Education Department selected vendor Bisly to lead a pilot project to address these issues.

Bisly implemented a smart lighting solution, increasing the number of LED lights by over 30% per classroom and installing multisensors for control. The deployed system also included BMS readiness for future HVAC integration. The results were significant energy savings, with smart lighting cutting usage by up to 50% and projected annual savings of approximately €22,000 from active control of heating, ventilation, and lighting. Following this successful pilot, Bisly has since renovated several other schools with its solutions.
