ZOLL Medical Corporation Meets Data Transmission Mandates with User-Friendly Solution from Biscom

ZOLL Medical Corporation, a Chelmsford, MA–based leader in resuscitation devices and software, needed a secure, auditable way to transmit sensitive data to meet Massachusetts, PCI and HIPAA mandates. Their existing tools — Cisco IronPort and SFTP — were clumsy for users, lacked reliable audit trails, imposed attachment limits, required client software, and could not easily support web-based workflows or occasional executable transfers.

ZOLL deployed Biscom Secure File Transfer (SFT) with an Outlook add-in and web interface, giving encrypted, auditable delivery and removing attachment and client‑software barriers. The solution met the three compliance requirements, eliminated IronPort and reduced SFTP usage, simplified administration, and delivered a much easier experience for internal and external users.
