XPO Logistics Eliminates Large Email Attachments

XPO Logistics, a large transportation and logistics company with roughly 30,000 employees and hundreds of locations, struggled with growing file sizes that exceeded restrictive email attachment limits. Reliance on an unintuitive public FTP site and time-consuming manual web-server workarounds created security, usability and administrative burdens while forcing repeated increases to message-size limits.

XPO deployed Biscom Secure File Transfer (SFT), a clientless, web-based secure file-transfer solution that provides point-to-point delivery, tracking and audit capabilities. After a pilot with more than 750 users—during which over 100 files were sent in the first 30 days—SFT was rolled out company-wide, eliminating FTP, reducing strain on the email system, restoring default attachment limits, and adding security and tracking for internal and external file exchanges.
