A Biscom Case Study
Teleflora, a Los Angeles–based network of 33,000 florists, depended on faxed sales orders but had outgrown a setup of three fax machines. During peak seasons customers hit busy signals, orders were delayed or lost, and an 80-person sales force had to wait by machines, creating customer complaints and operational bottlenecks.
Teleflora implemented Biscom’s FAXCOM servers (initially a 4‑port FAXCOM 4000, later an 8‑port FAXCOM 7000) with Microsoft Exchange integration, inbound routing, and desktop/mobile fax delivery. The solution eliminated busy signals, provided secure transmission logs and virus protection, enabled about 500 network users and mobile delivery to the sales team, and now handles roughly 16,000–25,000 faxes per month (about 21,000 on average) without delivery issues.
