Cornerstone of Recovery, a Knoxville, TN inpatient and outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center, relied heavily on faxing to transmit PHI and was expanding its campus. BMC implemented the Kyocera AccuSender Fax HyPAS App (Biscom) to provide a HIPAA-compliant e-fax workflow. The solution eliminated analog phone lines, cut manual faxing costs and staff time (phone-line savings covered nearly two-thirds of the project cost within two months), improved PHI security and confirmation tracking, sped document turnaround, and freed clinicians to focus more on patient care while giving patients greater peace of mind.
