ICOM Information & Communications L.P. is a North American marketing data and analytics firm that manages the largest permission-based direct response survey database and serves CPG, OTC, pharma, market research and auto clients. Its Data Services team received more than 7,500 custom data project requests a year in varied formats (phone, fax, mail, email), which had to be reentered into a home‑grown tracking system and manually assigned—creating lengthy processing times, errors, and weak audit/search capabilities.
After evaluating five solutions, ICOM implemented Easy Projects across roughly 90 users and required all requests to be submitted through the system. Requests are now automatically routed to the right people, eliminating double entry, reducing miscommunication, and providing a centralized audit trail for SOX compliance. The change saved about 10 minutes per request for team members and 5 minutes for the manager—approximately $45,000 annually—and also improved time tracking, messaging, file storage, helped the team pass an internal workflow audit, and earned recommendations for other departments.
