Farner-Bocken, a family-owned foodservice and convenience distributor established in 1939 with a product line of over 14,000 items across multiple Midwestern states, needed to modernize project management. Their Lotus Notes–based system stored data in disparate databases, making searches slow and time-consuming, and it lacked custom roles, a robust security model and easy administration.

They implemented Easy Projects .NET for its web access, relational database, customizable roles/fields and self-hosting license. Deployed to 10 users and managing nearly 100 active projects, the solution improved searchability, enabled role-based permissions, supported time logs and status reporting, cut paperwork and meeting time, and raised user satisfaction from a 2 to an 8.5 out of 10.
