A Birdview PSA Case Study
Concordia University’s Communication Services Department — a team of about 60 daily users plus 40 departmental requestors (100 Easy Projects users total) — struggled with an outdated FileMaker Pro system that couldn’t assign or customize tasks, forced staff to hand out and archive thousands of printed files annually, and didn’t scale with the growing workload. Leadership needed a collaborative, flexible, traceable, and hostable solution that would support accurate record-keeping and sustainable workflows.
After reviewing five platforms, the department implemented Easy Projects, using mandatory custom intake forms and bespoke features (workload specifications and a comparative calendar) developed with Easy Projects’ team and hosted on Concordia’s server. The result: a paperless office, smoother collaboration and request intake, better resource planning, and more than 24,000 hours saved per year — significantly increasing the department’s efficiency and output.
