Northwood Hospitality, a subsidiary of Northwood Investors that manages independent and branded hotels across the US and Europe, sought to automate its procure-to-pay processes, reduce costs and become more competitive. The company had used BirchStreet Systems’ eProcurement and Accounts Payable since 2011 and in 2019 expanded to the full BirchStreet Systems portfolio to accelerate those goals.

BirchStreet Systems implemented a suite including e-Procurement, AP 3-Way Auto Match, Invoice Management, Inventory and Contract Management, Capital Project and Recipe & Labor Management, plus BirchStreet Pay. The rollout delivered ROI in less than six months: 304 new supplier contracts representing $23M in annual spend taking the Virtual Card, $30M moved from paper checks to ACH (saving over $8 per check), and annual virtual-card rebates expected to cover subscription costs.
