Wates Group - Customer Case Study

Wates Group, a major construction firm, needed a secure and efficient site access and workforce management solution for its £20m Living Space development in Luton. The project spanned three separate sites across more than 5km and involved around 2,000 workers, creating a challenge for managing access control, accreditation, and attendance across multiple locations. Biosite Systems provided its biometric site access and workforce management platform to meet these needs.

Biosite Systems delivered a bespoke version of its fingerprint-based Biosite system, using biometric recognition to speed up entry and exit while improving accuracy and security. The solution eliminated buddy punching, reduced costs linked to replacement cards and PINs, supported CSCS and CSPS accreditation checks, and included an online pre-induction module with cloud-based data storage to simplify site movement and cut double-entry administration.
