iCare, a Milwaukee-based Independent Care Health Plan serving members with disabilities, needed to improve HEDIS compliance and Star ratings to protect CMS premium revenue. With a large, dispersed physician network and members who often needed extra support understanding follow-up care, the organization sought a better way to reach non-compliant members and complete required screenings.

BioIQ, working with LabCorp, automated member outreach, physician orders, at-home testing, results reporting, and data integration for colorectal cancer and diabetes/cholesterol screening campaigns. The program engaged hard-to-reach members, produced intuitive lab reports for members and physicians, and achieved 18% completion in the first month and 25% overall; iCare also reported a 1-star jump in its initial claim-based Star rating estimate for both campaigns.
