How Camden County Schools integrated Windows and Chromebook logins with self-service password reset (SSPR) capabilities

Camden County Schools, a K-12 district in Georgia with 11,000+ users, needed a better way to handle forgotten Active Directory passwords for students, faculty, and staff without relying on the IT help desk. With Chromebooks tied to AD credentials through Google Apps Directory Sync (GADS) and Google Apps Password Sync (GAPS), password resets became a major support burden for BIO-key’s customer.

BIO-key implemented PortalGuard as an on-premise self-service password reset solution, allowing users to reset passwords through OTP or challenge questions and then automatically sync the new password back to Active Directory and Google accounts. The result was simpler, more secure password management for the district, reduced help desk involvement, and consistent login access across Windows and Chromebook devices.
