W Squared, an outsourced back‑office provider that runs payroll, accounting and IT services on Microsoft Dynamics GP, faced a new client with 31 separate legal entities requiring both subsidiary and consolidated reporting and complex billing and bank structures. To address this multi‑entity challenge, W Squared selected Binary Stream’s Multi‑Entity Management to provide a centralized, scalable overlay for Microsoft Dynamics GP.

Binary Stream’s Multi‑Entity Management centralized master records, enabled facility/department structures, automated intercompany transactions and streamlined SOP/POP and reporting processes, so users could work in far fewer databases. As a result W Squared reduced the number of databases it managed from 20 to 6 (the client went from 31 to 3), reached full ROI within a couple of months, cut annual year‑end consolidation time to roughly 28 hours for W Squared (about 56 hours for the client), and saved about 45 seconds per log‑in/log‑out (~2 hours/month) through simplified daily processing.
