Token.io integrates 10 Polish banks with Binar for PSD2 compliance

Binar helped the open banking platform Token.io address a major European PSD2 compliance challenge in Poland. Token.io needed to connect to Polish banks by the September 2019 deadline but discovered the required Polish Standard API specifications were still under development.

Binar’s solution involved collaborating directly with the Financial Supervision Commission (KNF) and Polish banks to help define and implement the new API standard, including creating custom plugins for specific banks. The vendor successfully integrated 10 out of 14 major Polish banks by the deadline, enabling Token.io’s expansion and contributing to Poland's Open Banking infrastructure. Binar became one of the first companies in Poland to execute such a PSD2 integration.
